After the initial contact has been made by you...
Please allow 24-48 hours for me to respond back to your inquiry. I will reach out to you via email or phone. If you have a preference, please let me know in your contact message.
During this initial contact, please provide me with an overview of why you are interested in therapy and what areas you are looking for more support. We will also discuss fees and scheduling for your first session. To best prepare for your appointment, I will provide you with the intake paperwork so you may review and complete them prior to your first session.
Your First Session...
During our first session, we will review your intake papers together and go over what brings you in for therapy. I also like to take this time to build rapport and a strong therapeutic alliance which will help create a solid foundation for our journey together. We will begin to discuss your goals for therapy and explore how I may be able to help you reach those goals.
Getting the most out of your therapy...
In order to maintain the trust and rapport built, as well as reaching your goals set within your catered treatment plan, it is highly recommended that we begin your journey by meeting weekly, if possible.
The duration of each session will depend on the type of therapy you are undertaking. Generally, sessions will last 50 minutes to an hour. In some cases, longer sessions may be necessary to address more complex issues. Over time, this frequency will shift based on your needs, progress and goals. In addition, some therapies may involve multiple sessions per week, while others may involve a single session every few weeks. Ultimately, the duration and frequency of your sessions will be determined by what best suits your individual needs.
